AIAS and FBD at Northeastern
The Northeastern AIAS chapter offers many events throughout the school year that aim to meet the national mission. We host firm crawls that allow students to visit local firms in Boston and Cambridge to provide a sense of firm culture expectations and realities. It offers a mentorship program for upper and lower class students to meet and network, and provide a guide for lower class students as they begin in the architecture program. Northeastern’s chapter also host BBQ’s, game nights, and architecture related events.

Throughout the year, we’ll provide you with access to a host of events and programs. We’ll have monthly Movie Mondays, Site Visits, and Firm Crawls to the best projects and firms in the city, along with bigger events such as our Welcome BBQ, and programs like our Mentor/Mentee partnership. You’ll also be able to get involved with our Freedom By Design (FBD) team and get discounts to our Career Fair.
In addition to all of that, AIAS membership means you get discounted registration to AIAS National’s annual conferences such as FORUM, Grassroots, Quad, and the first annual Research Symposium. Don’t think you’ll utilize these benefits? You can still support us at the local level by applying for a Club membership.
